From Campus to Couture

Cindy V. Fashion is more than a fashion brand. It is a story of ambition, creativity, culture, and women becoming the most confident versions of themselves.

Founded in 2019 by Cindy V. while attending James Madison University, our story began with a lifelong love for fashion and a vision to create something different. From an early age, Cindy V. was drawn to design, sketching outfits and finding creative ways to express ideas through fashion.

While studying at JMU’s College of Business, Cindy V. turned that creativity into entrepreneurship and launched Cindy V. Fashion. Our early vision was recognized by JMU’s Center for Entrepreneurship, where Cindy V. participated in its Accelerator Program. Cindy V. later participated in the California Capital Women’s Business Start Up Program, continuing to develop the creative vision and business foundation behind the brand.

After graduating, Cindy V. moved to Los Angeles to immerse herself in the fashion industry. From there, she continued traveling back and forth between Los Angeles and New York City, always working, networking, sourcing, creating, and learning from two of the country’s most influential fashion markets. Those experiences allowed us to build relationships with designers, vendors, models, stylists, and creatives while constantly finding new inspiration and opportunities to evolve Cindy V. Fashion.

As we continued to grow, Cindy V. Fashion was always hosting pop ups throughout the East Coast, bringing our collections directly to new cities, customers, and communities while building our presence beyond traditional retail.

In 2022, we reached one of our most meaningful milestones by opening our first Cindy V. Fashion store in Chirilagua, San Miguel, El Salvador. Bringing the brand to Cindy V.’s hometown connected our Salvadoran roots with everything we had been building in the United States.

Today, we are working alongside talented fashion designers from El Salvador to create unique and original pieces for the next chapter of Cindy V. Fashion. We are passionate about combining fresh ideas with Salvadoran creativity while continuing to expand our collections, collaborations, and presence in the United States, El Salvador, and beyond.

Our mission has always been bigger than clothing. We believe fashion has the power to transform the way a woman sees and carries herself. We want every woman who wears Cindy V. Fashion to feel confident, feminine, powerful, and inspired to become the best version of herself.

What began with an idea on a university campus has evolved into a growing fashion brand shaped by creativity, innovation, culture, entrepreneurship, and community.

We have taken the journey from campus to Los Angeles, New York, the East Coast, and El Salvador, and we are still creating, still learning, still working, and still dreaming bigger.
