Meet Cindy V.: The Salvadoran-American Entrepreneur Building a Fashion Brand Without Borders
For Cindy V., fashion has never been only about what you wear. It's about how you walk into the room once you put it on.
Entrepreneur, fashion creative and founder of Cindy V. Fashion, Cindy V. has spent the past several years building a brand around a philosophy that has followed her throughout her own life:
When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you become unstoppable.
Now, seven years after launching Cindy V. Fashion, that vision is entering one of its biggest chapters yet — New York Fashion Week.
But to understand what NYFW represents for Cindy, you have to understand where the story began.
FROM EL SALVADOR TO THE UNITED STATES
Cindy was born in El Salvador and raised in the United States, an experience that would eventually influence how she saw both business and fashion.
Her Salvadoran identity remained part of her story while she learned to navigate education, professional environments and entrepreneurship in the United States.
She became the first generation in her family to attend college and graduated from James Madison University in 2019.
That same year, another chapter began.
Cindy V. Fashion was born.
There was no established fashion-industry network waiting for her.
There was no perfect roadmap.
There was simply an ambitious young woman who loved fashion, understood the confidence clothing could create, and believed she could turn that passion into something bigger.
So she started.
BUILDING CINDY V. FASHION
Like many entrepreneurial stories, Cindy V. Fashion didn't begin as the company Cindy ultimately envisioned.
It evolved.
What started as a fashion business became an education in branding, sales, marketing, content, sourcing, customer relationships and entrepreneurship.
Cindy learned by doing.
Every collection taught her something.
Every customer taught her something.
Every mistake taught her something.
And instead of waiting until she had the perfect resources, connections or circumstances, she continued building.
That persistence eventually took Cindy V. Fashion beyond the United States.
In 2022, Cindy opened a Cindy V. Fashion retail location in Chirilagua, San Miguel, El Salvador.
For Cindy, opening a business in the country where she was born represented more than expansion.
It represented reconnection.
And that reconnection would eventually begin shaping an entirely new vision for the company.
THE WOMAN BEHIND THE BRAND
Cindy describes the Cindy V. woman the same way she approaches her own life:
Feminine. Ambitious. Confident. Unapologetic.
She believes fashion has the ability to transform energy.
The right outfit doesn't create a woman's power — but sometimes it reminds her that it's already there.
That belief is reflected throughout the Cindy V. Fashion aesthetic: feminine silhouettes, statement pieces, pink, glamour and clothing meant to be noticed.
But behind the aesthetic is a founder who thinks just as much about business as she does about fashion.
Cindy's professional experience in sales and relationship-building helped shape the way she approaches her company.
She doesn't simply see a dress.
She sees the customer.
The designer.
The buyer.
The manufacturer.
The story.
And the opportunity to connect them.
REDISCOVERING EL SALVADOR THROUGH FASHION
As Cindy began spending more time developing Cindy V. Fashion in El Salvador, she started looking at the country's fashion community differently.
She saw talent.
Designers with ideas.
Seamstresses with technical skills.
Creatives capable of producing beautiful work.
And she began asking a bigger question:
What happens if we create stronger connections between that talent and opportunities outside El Salvador?
That question is becoming increasingly important to the future of Cindy V. Fashion.
Cindy's vision is evolving beyond operating a traditional boutique.
She wants the company to become a bridge — connecting fashion, talent and production between El Salvador and the United States.
That can mean introducing Salvadoran designers to new audiences.
It can mean helping boutiques discover new collections.
It can mean connecting brands with production opportunities.
And it can mean creating collaborations that allow Salvadoran creativity to enter rooms where it hasn't always been represented.
THE ROAD TO NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
In September 2026, that vision reaches New York.
Cindy V. Fashion is collaborating with Haute Couture in El Salvador to bring Salvadoran design to the runway during New York Fashion Week.
For Cindy, the significance extends far beyond being able to say her company participated in Fashion Week.
It's an opportunity to put the larger vision into action.
A Salvadoran-born founder.
Salvadoran fashion talent.
A company operating between El Salvador and the United States.
Together in New York.
The moment represents years of building, experimenting, learning and believing that Cindy V. Fashion could become bigger than where it started.
WHAT COMES AFTER THE RUNWAY?
For many brands, Fashion Week is about the show.
For Cindy V., the more interesting question is what happens afterward.
She sees NYFW as an introduction.
An introduction to buyers.
To press.
To stylists.
To designers.
To boutiques.
To potential partners.
And to people who may be discovering Cindy V. Fashion — and Salvadoran fashion — for the first time.
The long-term vision for Cindy V. Fashion includes retail and wholesale, custom fashion, designer collaborations, styling and creating stronger pathways for fashion production and creative partnerships in El Salvador.
It's an ambitious vision.
But ambition has been part of Cindy's story from the beginning.
SEVEN YEARS LATER
There is something especially meaningful about arriving at this moment in 2026.
Seven years earlier, Cindy was graduating from college and beginning Cindy V. Fashion without knowing exactly where the journey would lead.
Now, she's preparing to walk into New York Fashion Week representing the company she started — while bringing part of El Salvador with her.
The milestones may be getting bigger.
But the mentality hasn't changed.
Build.
Learn.
Connect.
Take the opportunity.
Then create another one.
Cindy V. Fashion is still evolving, and Cindy will be the first to tell you that there is much more she wants to accomplish.
New York isn't the conclusion to the story.
It's the beginning of a much bigger one.
